Responsibilities

– Plan and arrange class and flag surveys and ensure records and drawings are updated

– Work with technical team to coordinate on change and new ownership transfer of vessels

– Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for repair and maintenance work

– Liaise with superintendent and arrange for dry dock planning requirements

– Monitor progress on dry dock schedules and ensure vessel completes all repairs

  • Plan, direct and execute projects for telecommunications equipment
  • Participate in installation, FAT, SAT, Sea Trial and commissioning of equipment
  • Work closely with vendors for the projects

  • Focus on engineering and commissioning of projects assigned by project manager
  • Perform configuration and ensure all technical parameters are adhered to
  • Ensure project is carried out according to plan and prepare technical documentation and drawings using AutoCAD
  • Work closely with project manager for FAT, HAT and SAT
  • Ensure project is within schedule and budgeted cost, any variance to inform management
  • Work closely with contractors and shipyards and prepare progress report for submission to customers.

* Monitor and manage Plan Maintenance Scheme (PMS) for vessels managed

* Prepare vessel budget, plan and review drydocking requirements and costing

* Assist in drydock supervision and monitor performance in terms of cost, quality and schedule.

* Evaluate the drydocking invoices and be accountable for all dry dock works.

* Conduct regular inspections, monitor and review under-performing ships.

Requirements

·3+ years of experience as a MSE, MET or ET in commercial shipping
·Diploma in Electronics or equivalent technical education, training, and

·Valid FCC General License with Radar Endorsement preferred.
·GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License preferred
·Be physically fit. Work environment often involves carrying 20-40 lbs,
climbing ladders and masts, and exposure to weather.
·Driver’s license preferred.
